Books to read on Lorca this time:
Quance, Roberta Ann. In the light of contradiction: desire in the poetry of Federico García Lorca. New York: Routledge, 2010 (the paperback is due in July, 2020). Quance also has this very interesting translation of the suites, and other work, including “FGL – mediating tradition” (Wiley) that is a good, short introduction to his work.
Valis, Noel. Lorca after life. Due in September, 2020. Here she is talking about this book. Valis is interesting and has other writings on our poet.
