Our class research project is to annotate and comment on some of Lorca’s key lectures and manifestos. We will examine his contributions to thought on Hispanic identity, modernist poetics, and European modernism.

What are modernist poetics? What makes García Lorca a major European modernist? Who were his Spanish contemporaries? are some of the questions our annotation project will help us answer.
